We, as a company, build new houses, remodel and restore old ones, lift houses up and replace foundations. We install new windows and doors, replace porches, and install kitchens and bathrooms from modest to custom.
MAINTAINING THE SKILLS OF THE AGES
Chynoweth Construction LLC was formed in 1977 when I completed 2 to 3-year apprenticeships with local contractors and worked side by side with masters of the trades from 1976 to 1980. Mostly all of my mentors were World War 2 veterans with fantastic work ethics. I formed Chynoweth construction in 1980 and built my first house at the age of 21. I have had the pleasure and blessing of working with people who passed down a working knowledge of the trades of home building, complete foundations, complete framing, roofing and siding, windows and door installation, concrete floor installations, grading, and transit work. One of the most fascinating work experiences was working Antonio Felice Miconi for 2 years and learning the ancient art of real stonework. The antique method of cutting stone with hammers and chisels is really the true love of my work experience.
